Rejuvenating an existing 1960’s property and bring it up to the 21st century
The projects involved rejuvenating an existing 1960’s property and bring it up to the 21st century. We provided a design that converted half the existing double garage to create a one off entertaining space, but also carry out other internal modifications to truly make the space work for the client. Externally a hard and soft landscaping design solution was provided which gives the property a striking curb appeal. Siberian Larch cladding was used to hide the existing stonework and freshen the front elevation. An individual lighting design has also been incorporated which brings a new sense of life to the property at night.
Redundent public house converted into 8, 1-2 bedroom flats.
Unstone is a rural village situated in North East Derbyshire, 1 mile from Dronfield, 5 and 9 miles respectively from the centre of Chesterfield and Sheffield via the A61. Working closely with our client Platinum Development, we successfully repurposed a redundant public house (Fleur De Lys) into eight 1-2 bedroom apartments. By using clever and innovative design solutions we fully transformed the existing building. The biggest challenge to this project, other than working with a 100 year old building with solid stone walls over 500mm thick, was lifting the roof and adding a complete second floor to increase the square meterage.
Converting a redundent public house into a new executive family home
Following a successful planning application to change the use of a redundant public house into a residential property, we developed a new layout which would enhance the existing features of the pub and transfer the otherwise derelict building into a new executive family home.
One bed annex added to existing build
By repurposing an existing failing garden office block, we worked closely with the Local Planning Authority and our Client to design a new Garden Annex, with a Conservation Area. We added a small extension to the existing build, but predominantly re utilised the existing footprint to form this lovely one bed Annex.

Working very closely with the Local Planning Authority and delivery team, we have designed and developed a scheme which will successfully meet the requests of all those involved. The scheme will see 7 new properties being built, 2 of these bungalows and 5 executive detached homes.
